Workshops

Workshops are an opportunity for you to delve deeper into your yoga, or yoga teaching practice. These sessions are longer than a regular class, covering niche topics, or a particular theme. Because we have more time than an ordinary class, we can explore these topics in greater depth and gain deeper understanding.

Astrology Themed Vinyasa Flow

Each month, we use horoscopes to inspire our practice. Workshops are carefully and creatively crafted using astrology. There is a seasonal feel and a nod to nature because each horoscope corresponds to an element – earth, air, water or fire. The elements help to set the pace and energy of the session.  Each sign has different characteristics and this too can lend to the energy of the class, the intentions that we set and mantras that we practice. Horoscopes rule different parts of the body, and an anatomical focus may be placed on the different areas that each monthly horoscope rules.  Pranayama and meditation are also intelligently weaved into these sessions

Shamanic Circles

These group sessions involve a guided shamanic journey to support you to travel within yourself for the purpose of consultation and therapy.

Shamanic journeying involves the use of drumming to create an altered state. This enables participants to travel to inner realms and landscapes to obtain information for the purpose of healing. Perception, clarity and understanding deepen with each journey.

Learning to journey takes practice and the purpose of the circle is to help participants develop this skill.  Shamanic journeying may help to increase self awareness and help us to feel a deeper sense of connection to ourselves and others. There is a different theme each month.

If you are new to shamanic journeying or guided meditation and have PTSD, dissociative disorder or a sense of disconnect from yourself, it is advised that you consult with your GP or relevant mental health practitioner before coming along.
