Frequently asked questions

Yoga Classes/Workshops

  • Bring a yoga mat and a bottle of water. If you don’t have a mat, there are some mats at the studio that you may borrow.

  • Absolutely! You are my ideal candidate and you don’t need to be flexible to start. This is like saying you need to be able to drive, before taking lessons. If anything, you will notice that a regular yoga practice will improve flexibility, mobility, strength, coordination, balance and cardiovascular health. It will also bring about a sense of peace and help manage stress.

  • Wear comfortable clothing that gives you freedom to move around, or gym clothing. I suggest that you also bring socks and a cozy jumper because each class ends with a relaxation exercise. You will also need layers for slower paced classes such as Yin Yoga.

  • Please come 10 minutes before the class starts, to roll your mat out, gather necessary props and settle. This is the etiquette of yoga. Arriving late or at the last minute is not only stressful for you, but it will disrupt other members of the class.

  • It is recommended that you practice 2 hours after a meal. However, if you are feeling hungry before a class, or it has already been a significant time since you last ate, a light snack such as a banana, nuts or yogurt is a good idea.

  • You can book in by going to my schedule on the Yoga page and following the steps to create an account with Momoyoga. Please note that all classes and sessions are paid for in advance. If you purchase a class pack or membership, you will then be able to use your credits to book into your weekly class/es via your online account.

Reiki/Shamanic Healing

  • You can book in using the contact form. I’ll then send you a short questionnaire to explore what you’d like to get from the session and help you book in.

  • There are differences between treatments. However, they are all done, fully clothed underneath a blanket. During a shamanic session, you will hear me drum and rattle. Sage and other herbs such as rosemary or lavender are burned in both reiki and shamanic healing sessions.

  • Just yourself! I supply everything for your comfort and warmth.

  • Don’t worry if you fall asleep, the work will still happen and the energy will flow to where it needs to go.
